MCIC Survey: Ruling SDSM lead VMRO-DPMNE by just 0.4%

The opposition party VMRO-DPMNE came closer to the ruling SDSM in the polls, so if there are parliamentary elections, 24.4% of the citizens will vote for SDSM, while for the VMRO-DPMNE are 0.4% behind on 24%, according to the MCIC poll.

6.9 percent of respondents selected DUI, while 2.7% would vote for the Alliance for Albanians and Besa was the choice of 1.7%, and 37.8% opted for either “did not know” or “will not vote”.

Among ethnic Macedonians, the VMRO-DPMNE has a small lead of 31.2% against the SDSM with 28.3%. The ruling SDSM still has support of 8% of ethnic Albanians, while with the VMRO-DPMNE it is less than 1%.

The survey was conducted by the agency M-prospect in the period from the 24th of July to 1st of August 1, 2018 and was conducted on a sample of 1,026 respondents over 18 years of age, and all results are subject to a statistical error of 3.1% with an acceptable level of confidence from 95%.
