Macedonia and Bulgaria agreed and signed a memorandum of cooperation in important sectors

Today the governments of Macedonia and Bulgaria met in Strumica, and after a joint governmental meeting, signed a series of agreements on cooperation in defense, telecommunications, tourism, energy and the economy.

The Ministers of Defense, Radmila Šekerinska and Krasimir Karakachanov, signed a Protocol for cooperation in conducting training for ARM members at military schools in Bulgaria and intensifying the cooperation.

By signing the memorandum, Minister of Information Society and Administration Damjan Mancevski and the Bulgarian Minister of Transport and Information Technologies, Ivaylo Moskovski also formalized the reduction of international roaming tariffs for telecommunication services.

Bulgarian Tourism Minister, Nikolina Angelkova and Macedonian Deputy Minster of Economy, Kire Naumov signed a Cooperation Agreement in tourism, and two agreements were also signed for cooperation in the energy sector, which envisage easier trade in electricity.

Representatives of the two governments before the governmental session visited Vodoča monastery and showed their respect in front of the monument of the dead Macedonian President, Boris Trajkovski.
