The leaders of political parties will soon be meeting with President Gjorge Ivanov in order to discuss the framework for the solution of the name dispute, that our state has with Greece, informed today the Government’s spokesperson, Mile Boshnjakovski.
-The government began the process of analyzing and coordination regarding the latest framework provided by mediator Matthew Nimetz. We expect to build a wider national consensus. The cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with the cabinet of president Ivanov in order to organize a meeting where many political subjects will be present and where the topic of the discussion will be the framework – said Boshnjakovski.
The meeting between Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras is planned to occur this afternoon at Davos. Boshnjakovski repeated the government’s stance that the “atmosphere is positive” and that “there is an optimism in both countries that a solution for the name dispute will be found in order to preserve the dignity on both sides.”
-The meeting itself presents a step forward towards finding a solution – said Boshnjakovski.
