“The Ministry of Interior (MOI) monitors the security situation and all incoming announcements, knowledge and information, and, if necessary, the Ministry is ready to act,” stated Deputy Minister of Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior Ivo Kotevski for META in connection with the information published by Albanian and Kosovo media for alleged terrorist attacks that members of the Islamic state (ID) from the Balkans plan in Pristina and Skopje.
Kotevski didn’t reveal whether Kosovo security services contacted and sent information to their Macedonian colleagues about these allegations.
Albanian news agency “BalkanWeb” reported that Kosovo security services refused information that people close to the Albanian leader of ISIS Lavdrim Muhaxheri ordered the execution of terrorist actions in the capitals of Kosovo and Macedonia.
Agency refers to Kosovo “Lajmi.net”, which came to the press release of the security services, which stated the Kosovo police to take all necessary measures to respond to threats.
In the communication, Kosovo police stated that a person from Macedonia, whose name had been known to services, who is currently on the battlefields in Syria and Iraq and has close links with Lavdrim Muhaxheri, contacted trusted people about possible attacks in Kosovo and Macedonia in June.
Target of the attacks was to cause as much damage and human casualties regardless of their religious beliefs.
The threat, as “BalkanWeb” reported, comes after the video on which jihadists from the Balkans, including Albanians, who are fighting in Syria and Iraq, call for attacks in the region, which, according to them, will cover Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro.
