Special Public Prosecutor Katica Janeva, submitted a report of her work for the first six months and since the establishment of the SPP, to Parliament, the Council of Public Prosecutors and the media.
The report is divided into six chapters, which stipulate the conditions within the SPP from its constitution and available human resources, the facilities in which it operate’s, a detailed financial progress for 2016, the implementation of the work plan, as well as a financial and personal plan.
In the third chapter, listed are the cases opened by the SPP, their case numbers, the stages of criminal proceedings in each and every case, criminal proceedings and a cited census of materials, Zoran Zaev, the SDSM leader presented to the Prosecution at the end of last year.
The report elaborates on the cooperation between the SPP with other state bodies and international institutions, followed by public relations, and in the sixth and final chapter, the report presents its conclusions.
According to paragraph 1 of Article 7 of the law, which was set up for the Special Prosecutor’s Office on September 15 of last year, Janeva is responsible too and answers only to Parliament and the Council of Public Prosecutors.
“The Public Prosecutor will report every six months on and about his or her’s activities, including a description of progress in any investigation or prosecution undertaken by the Public Prosecutor, in this report material may be omitted if the Public Prosecutor believes it should be kept confidential, but must provide adequate information to justify the finances of their operation”, states paragraph 2 of the same Article of the Law concerning the Special Prosecutors Office.
