President Gjorge Ivanov will not assign the mandate until all legal and political obstacles are removed. At the press conference with the Chairman of the Presidency of BIH, Mladen Ivanic, he said that he cannot make a decision which can later be challenged.
“If such a decision is challenged, then my responsibility will be questioned. That is why I insist that all legal and political obstacles be removed”, said Ivanov.
He said that he doesn’t feel any responsibility for the crisis since he respects the Constitution and there wouldn’t have been an institutional crisis if it wasn’t for the Platform which led from a political crisis into an institutional one.
“The political crisis was solved with the elections held on the 11th of December, and with the platform, we moved into an institutional crisis. I feel no responsibility since I respect the Constitution and what is asked of me, and I have taken into account the decisions made by the Constitutional Court, therefore I cannot make a decision which will be contested by anyone”, said Ivanov.
