President Ivanov today signed decrees declaring the laws in the field of education, which the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia adopted at the session held on 14th of January 2015, reads the announcement posted on the presidential website.
According to his office, Ivanov signed the laws based on all completed analysis and advice in the past, as well as the conclusions derived from the numerous meetings with the best students from all universities in the Republic of Macedonia that are regularly held in the past six years.
The overall conclusion from all meetings was that Macedonia has undeniable need for a successful transformation of higher education, that our country needs students and professors who are recognized and competitive on the global knowledge market.
– President Ivanov received strong assurances from the proposer of the laws that, in the future, will be organized a comprehensive expert discussion for most essential issues related to higher education, with representatives of students and international experts on higher education. From all these activities and inclusive dialogue, the result will be a completely new law on higher education – reads the announcement from the office of the President.
