The European Commission provides support and we are trying to provide all conditions for an independent investigation in Macedonia, said EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn from Belgrade.
– The situation is very serious and dangerous. MEPs seek to discuss solutions among key parties in the conflict. There must be an investigation for criminal liability on one hand, and for the political scandal on the other, so it is necessary for the opposition to return to the Assembly immediately, there has to be an executive committee that will work on the political responsibility of the case. Regardless of political accountability, justice must follow this case to the end. As the European Commission, we support it and try to provide all conditions for an independent investigation. The responsible parties in country should deal with it, but they should do so in line with European rules – said Hahn.
