Gruevski: VMRO-DPMNE will not participate in a re-vote or negotiations with the international community

-

The leader of the VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski tonight addressed the gathered crowd outside the State Election Commission, and said that the party’s Executive Committee had held a meeting, where they adopted a proclamation which, he said, “was to inform all those whose eyes are on the defense of the Republic of Macedonia”.

“The SEC adopted illegal decisions to bypass the electoral will of the people. The SEC’s work has turned into a parody. We have information about the interference of foreign officials in order to influence some of the members of the SEC, in order to engage in post-election machinery to change the will of the people. Some of the SEC’s illegal decisions can be corrected by the Administrative Court and therefore, we urge you not to pressure the Administrative Court. If the Administrative Court upholds the decisions made by the SEC, VMRO-DPMNE will not participate in a re-vote”, said Gruevski.

VMRO-DPMNE said they “will not allow the pardoned criminal, Zoran Zaev, to form a government with stolen votes”.

“The state must be the sovereign decision maker. Some ambassadors have began to meddle in the internal politics of the country. It must stop. We remain open to cooperation and communication with the ambassadors. However, the ambassadors that are interfering must stop. VMRO-DPMNE will not participate in meetings and negotiations involving ambassadors and other foreign officials who make decisions which should be decided by the representatives elected by the people”, said Gruevski, adding that VMRO-DPMNE will not accept “nonstandard and hybrid solutions which do not occur in EU member states”.

According to the proclamation of the party, Gruevski said that VMRO-DPMNE will not allow the canonization and redefining of the state under any condition. He also announced that he would fight for the “de-sorosization of Macedonia” and the strengthening of civil society.

“We will reform the funding of such foundations, in the style of the most advanced democracies in the world”, said Gruevski, adding that VMRO-DPMNE has been, and will be a pro-Western party.

At the end of his speech, Gruevski announced that the proclamation is to protect democracy in Macedonia and that the protests outside the SEC are a “cry for the preservation of democracy, so no one can falsify the elections”.
