Gruevski announced open an unfinished factory in Shtip

-

In a hall with around forty knitting and embroidery machines, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski announced the start of production in the German factory Technical Textiles.

In front of the hall of 13,000 square meters were parked construction machines that waited for the ceremony to be over, because the yard only has sand, while the freshly-paved road was covered by a red carpet.

The manager of the factory Jins Winland said the company brought only 30 percent of the machines that were planned. After construction is over, the manager said, they will bring the high tech machines.

The investment worth 15 million euro employs 100 at the moment, mainly weavers, but until the end of the year it is planning to bring in 200 more who will produce fiber products for the construction industry. Winland said there were 1000 candidates for the 100 jobs. The capacity of the workforce was crucial, not the financial kickbacks from the Government, that is why the company chose to invest in Shtip.
