France welcomes the signing of the Agreement of Friendship, Good Neighborly Relations and Cooperation, which the Prime Ministers of Macedonia and Bulgaria, Zoran Zaev and Boyko Borisov, signed on August 1st, reads the written statement from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
“France hopes that this agreement will allow Skopje and Sofia to deepen their dialogue and cooperation, especially in the political, economic and cultural spheres, and that it will contribute to strengthening stability in the Balkan region. France recalls that good neighborly relations and regional co-operation are key elements of the European accession process. They contribute to prosperity, stability, reconciliation and creating a favorable climate for settling bilateral disputes and problems inherited from the past”, reads the statement.
