Families of those convicted in “Divo Naselje” protest in Pec and ask how Albania allowed Gruevski to escape

-

In Pec, Kosovo, the family members of those convicted for the armed incident in the Kumanovo settlement of Divo Naselje in May, 2015, protested this morning, demanding the release of their loved ones and made accusations against former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski regarding the mentioned events, Portabl reports.

The protest was held in front of the “Dukagjini” hotel, where the governments of Kosovo and Albania are holding a joint session. Protesters carried signs with slogans asking “Where is Nikola Gruevski” and “Where are the boys from the Kumanovo group?” Furthermore, there were also signs to remind Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama that “Gruevski fled through Albania”.

“It is shameful that the Albanian government helped Nikola Gruevski flee Macedonia through Albania, and never showed concern for those in prison for the events in Kumanovo,” says Shihare Zeka, mother of Valdet Zeka, one of those convicted in the Kumanovo case.
