Europe Day and the 68th anniversary of the EU will be celebrated in several cities across Macedonia

The EU delegation to Macedonia will mark the 68th anniversary of the European Union and Europe Day, May 9, with events in several cities across the country.

On May 9, Europe Day will be celebrated in the cities of Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka, Debar, Kavadarci, Kocani, Gevgelija, Ohrid, Gostivar, Tetovo, Veles, Strumica and Bitola. The EU info relays at the St Cyril & Methodius University in Skopje, the SEE University in Tetovo as well as the Bitola University will engage students in discussions about the European future of the country. The EU Ambassador Samuel Žbogar and other EU Member States ambassadors will take part in the celebrations and convey the message of a joint future

The central event of the Europe Day programme is the EU village in Stip on May 12, in the presence of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Mayor of Stip Blagoj Bochvarski and EU Ambassador Samuel Žbogar. The event will include presentations of all the EU Member States by students at the Stip University, sports activities as well as musical performances by popular artists.
