Dimovski asks for session on Zvrlevski be adjourned until October, Xhaferi disagrees

-

The sixth plenary session, which began with the debate on the Government’s proposal to dismiss the Attorney General, Marko Zvrlevski, was interrupted by MP Ilija Dimovski, who immediately demanded that the session be adjourned and continued after the local elections, on October 15th.

“In accordance with Article 8a of the Electoral Code, from the day elections are announced, until the end of the elections, MPs can not make decisions, they can not start procedures for the employment of new individuals or terminate working relations of current public officials, in other words, all procedures are put on hold. On August the 5th, the day before the local elections were announced, the Government appointed 1000 members in management and supervisory boards, as well as appointing directors, because they knew that this would be the deadline, before the local elections were announced”, said Dimovski.

He told Xhaferi that just as he had called for all to comply with the announcement of local elections, and for laws to be respected, he himself, is also obliged to respect the laws and the Constitution, and therefore, to put on hold the dismissal of Zvrlevski.
To this, the Speaker of Parliament, Talat Xhaferi replied that he could interrupt the Rules and Regulations however he wants, however he is implements the norm.
