The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov announced that the procedure for sending Aleksandar Nikolovski as an Ambassador at the EU’s headquarters in Brussels has been stopped.
-The procedure will be stopped. Basically, the procedure has been stopped, as this is more political folklore or political-party folklore. Who will he be representing if at the moment he is a secretary for an International cooperation of a political party? Is going to be representing the political party or the Republic of Macedonia especially in a big center that is one of the first strategic goals – said Dimitrov.
The Macedonian Foreign Minister holds the opinion that the practice of sending politicians as ambassadors must stop.
-I think that in Macedonia, the practice of sending politicians as ambassadors must stop. We have made this mistake several times and I think we have to make an agreement as a society and as a political system not to do this anymore – said Dimitrov.
