Dimitrov and Kotzias had talks in New York about building measures of trust and the name dispute

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, had a working dinner last night in New York with his Greek colleague, Nikos Kotzias, during which, as was announced by MFA, they had talks about building trust among both countries and the process of surpassing the name differences.

MFA’s press release doesn’t reveal more details about the meeting, which was last on Dimitrov’s yesterday eventful agenda at the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations.

There is no more information either at the Greek MFA which published a twit from the dinner between Dimitrov and Kotzias, on its official Twitter account.

On Monday, the Head of the Greek diplomacy had a meeting in New York with the General Secretary of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, during which, as announced by the Greek MFA, Kotzias, has said that there is “an open window for possibilities” to talk about the name dispute as soon as the local elections in Macedonia are over and if “the neighboring country abandons irredentism.”
