London, 26 April, 2017 - 21:48 (META)

The current government is mulling and taking over preparatory activities for issuing a new Eurobond, in the fourth quarter of this year in order to repay maturing debts due next year, informs the business informative service “Intellinews”, citing sources at the Austrian bank “Raiffeisen Bank International.”

If the new issue goes ahead, as the report states the shortest maturity of the planned Eurobond issue would expire on December 1, 2020. The amount of this future Eurobond is not stated.

The Macedonian finance ministry told Intellinews on April 25 that the decision on whether and when the ministry will issue a Eurobond depends only on the current conditions and the market price.“Macedonia is competitive on the international capital market and continuously maintains contacts with investors,” the finance ministry said in a short notice.
