Delev: We have reacted to Croatia and Brussels to the problem with our truck drivers

CEFTA members – the countries from the agreement on free trade in Central Europe – have called for an emergency meeting in the chairing country of Moldova, if the ban on trucks entering Croatia is not lifted until Tuesday, informed the Deputy Minister of Economy, Christian Delev.

Mr Delev said that as well as CEFTA but all relevant institutions in Brussels have been contacted and are familiar with the problem of Macedonian truck drivers who have been stuck for several days on the Serbian-Croatian border.

“We reacted and have pointed out to the Croatian authorities, that there actions goes against all international agreements on movement of people and goods. Besides the institutions in Brussels and CEFTA, we have contacted our colleagues in Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and Turkey, which all have been affected by this issue” said Mr Delev.
