“Come out for some air!”: The protests will not stop until action is taken about the air

-

Today’s protest at 17 o’clock will be held before Government, called “Come out for some air!” Twenty NGO’s from all aroud Macedonia will participate. The organizations that are protesting against air pollution in Macedonia believe it is good that the government has finally taken notice regarding the alarming air pollution which affects the whole population, but it is unfortunate that they are the last ones to awaken about air pollution.
“We demand action be taken for clean air and we will not stop until the concentration of carcinogenic particles PM10 and PM2,5 are not brought under the maximum limit. Therefore, once again we urge all concerned citizens across the country to come before Government today at 17 o’clock to send a joint civil cry for fresh air. We would like to remind everyone that the recommendations (attempts) that the government adopted yesterday were presented by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MEPP) in November. The results of the recommendations as we all saw and we all inhale – exceed the limit of PM10 particles continued throughout December. We would like to point out that there are no results when you just make a recommendation! “Said a statement from the initiative.
