-

The civil movement “I protest” which has now lasted for five consecutive days organized by citizens protesting and demanding the the resignation of President Gjorge Ivanov due to his recent decision to pardon a large number of politicians under investigation, have decided that today, they shall not protest.

The next protest is scheduled for tomorrow at 18:00. The place of meeting will be announced closer to the event.

“Brothers, and sisters, the past few days were intense and difficult but they also have been encouraging. Instead of today, protests will continue tomorrow (Monday) at 18:00,and we will come out in larger numbers, we will be coordinated with new strength and energy”, the civil movement wrote on their “Facebook” page.

Despite demands for Ivanov’s resignation, the activists from “I protest” are also demanding the withdrawal of the decision to pardon criminals and politicians. They also want an interim Government to be formed so recommendations from the Priebe report can be implemented for holding fair and democratic elections.
