Bulgarian president Radev is on an official visit to Macedonia

The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, is on a two day official visit to Macedonia, on the invitation of the Macedonian president, Gjorge Ivanov.

Radev will be greeted today with the highest state and military honors in front of the cabinet of President Ivanov’s plateau, and tet-a tet meeting will follow afterward.

Radev and Ivanov will have a meeting tomorrow with the Macedonian and Bulgarian chambers of commerce.

The Bulgarian President will arrive in Macedonia joined by two metropolitans that will be a part of his delegation. As is known, the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archiepiskopy has asked the Bulgarian Orthodox Church to become its Church – Mother. Along with Radev, the country will be visited by the Plovdiv metropolitan Nikolaj and the metropolitan from Stara Zagora, Kiprijan.

Otherwise, Radev gave an interview for the Bulgarian BGNES agency ahead of his visit to Macedonia where he talked about the name dispute, and he said that this issue will have to be solved for the benefit of the three countries – Macedonia, Greece, and Bulgaria.
