Bosnjakovski: The Judicial Reform Council successfully completed its function

-

It is not a matter of any mistrust in the previous Judicial Reform Council that was established by the Ministry of Justice, but it’s simply because a new phase of judicial reform will begin, that is, their implementation. This was stated by Government spokesman Mile Bosnjakovski at today’s press conference answering journalist questions about the decision of the Government to form a new “Council for monitoring the implementation of the strategy in the judiciary for the period 2017-2022”, which will be personally chaired by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

“The Council for Monitoring the Implementation of the Strategy for the Judiciary for the Period of 2017-2022” is a body foreseen for section 9 of the “3-6-9” plan and that Council will now monitor the implementation of the strategy developed by the Council for reforms that were established by the Ministry of Justice. This council has successfully completed its function and developed a strategy in which all experts involved in it participated”, said Bosnjakovski.

He added that the reforms in the judiciary are some of the essential ones from the “3-6-9” plan and that with the new working body they will be elevated to a higher level, that is, at the level of Government.
