Besa will not appeal the decisions made by the SEC, the party doubts the court’s independence

-

The Besa movement will not submit an appeal to the Administrative Court after the decisions made by the State Election Commission to reject seven of the eight complaints over the electoral process.

“The bodies of the party assessed not to file an appeal with the Administrative Court because we doubt the court’s independence and know their decision in advance”, stated spokeswoman for Besa, Organ Murtezani for “Meta”.

State Election Commission accepted the complaint made by Besa and annulled the voting at one polling station in Gostivar, where another person signed in the place of Fatime Sulejmani, which has been confirmed by an official graphologist.

There is no official number of appeals filed to the Administrative Court by SDSM. Party spokesman Petre Shilegov said that during the day they would come out with a statement or will call a press conference.

Meanwhile, there is a 24-hour deadline for appeals to be filed to the Administrative Court. After filing the appeals, five judges from the Administrative Court, chosen by randomly by draw, within 48 hours of a public hearing must decide how to act on the appeals and decisions within 24 hours should be published on the website of the court, as well as on the website of the SEC. The decisions of the Administrative Court should be conducted by a vote from each judge individually.
