The VP of the USA, Mike Pence, had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev and had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, announced the White House.
During the telephone conversation, Pence and Tsipras have reaffirmed the longstanding relations between Greece and US.
“The Vice President congratulated the Greek Premier for the advancement in the process of recovery from the economic crisis and thanked him for the role that Greece had as a pillar of stability in the region, for its contribution to NATO, as well as regarding its military cooperation with the USA. The leaders have expressed their regrets that the Cyprus conference from the previous week has ended without an Agreement and the Vice President has stressed the continuous support on part of the USA for an all-encompassing solution for another unification of the island as a binational, two-communication federation. The Vice President has sent an invitation for Tsipras to visit Washington and the leaders have agreed that they shall meet in near future” said the White House’s press release.

During the telephone conversation that took place yesterday with Zaev, Pence has greeted the processes that the Government has commenced for government, freedom, and justice in Macedonia and has sent greetings from the president of USA, Donald Trump and the American administration.
