Anti-Corruption Commission rolls up sleeves, but don’t know where to start

-

The new composition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption – SCPC) started work today, but still without a defined priority. They will however, consider all cases, and then the new anti-corruption officials will decide on the order they will be solved.

President Biljana Ivanovska explained that all cases are equally important for the new commission, reports “Portalb”.

“We will consider all cases, without exception. I’ll say, alphabetically. There is no clear criteria on where to start, because they are all important and all of them are of the utmost importance,” said Ivanovska.

She clarified that new cases of nepotism will be considered such as the employment of close relatives of the SDSM MP Mira Stojcevska. Although they have not received a complaint, however, the Commission may initiate proceedings.

“We will ask for all the documentation regarding the employment of these people. We will also act on all other cases of employment that are suspicious in the past period. Many things have accumulated, we will first work on the most recent cases,” said the President of the Anti-Corruption, Biljana Ivanovska.
