Angjusev will be attending the working breakfast organized by Kurz along with the prime ministers of the Western Balkans countries instead of Zaev

The Vice Prime Minister for economic affairs, Kocho Angjushev, took part in the working breakfast that was organized by the Chancellor of Austria, Sebastian Kurz for the prime ministers of the Western Balkans.

Angjushev attended the working breakfast instead of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev who canceled his attendance due to inner political affairs in the country.

The government informs that the main subject at the meeting was the regional cooperation that plays an important role in the process of integration of the countries of the Western Balkans into the European Union, the ways of its promotion through processes of digitalization, connecting and economic cooperation.

As soon as the official part of the working breakfast ended, there was a joint press conference during which the Chancellor of Austria, Sebastian Kurz addressed the attendees, including the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, the Eu Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel, the prime ministers of Western Balkans’ countries and Vice Prime Minister Kocho Angjushev.

Chancellor Kurz gave his support for the accession of the Western Balkans’ countries into the EU and he stressed the regional cooperation as a key segment that will expedite the accession of these countries into the EU and that this is one of the priorities of the Austrian presiding over the EU.

He stressed the importance of continuing the initiative for forming a regional economic area as a first step towards any further integration into the European market.
