Germany will not interfere in the resolution of the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece, said today the German Ambassador to Macedonia, Christine Althauser when she was asked by journalists whether it was possible for Macedonia’s accession to NATO, but under its provisional name.
“Of course it is important that Minister Nikola Dimitrov went to Athens as part of his first official meetings. I will not even comment on this issue, because it is an issue between two countries. In this case, Germany is just an observer”, said Ambassador Althauser, who was participating in the panel “Cooperation between municipalities, companies and civil society – Project City 3 climate protection”, organized by the German Embassy and “Eco-consciousness”.
