VMRO-DPMNE is demanding an amnesty for the perpetrators on the 27th of April

The opposition party, VMRO-DPMNE is demanding “an urgent and without delay” absolution and amnesty for all persons that have “caused certain legal violations in the incidents at the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia on the 27th of April.”

According to VMRO-DPMNE, this act will contribute to the conciliation in Macedonia and the easing of political tensions.

This conclusion, as informs the political party, was decided at the last session of VMRO-DPMNE’s Executive Committee during which it was concluded that “in the last five months, it is obvious that the government’s policy for massive dismissal of criminals from prisons and detention centers according to various manufactured legal basis, where a common denominator is the government’s political intervention.”

This political party also announces that because of this, VMRO-DPMNE’s MP group will submit an amendment to the Law for Amnesty or it will propose a special law for stopping the procedure and for freeing the persons who participated in the events on the 27th of April.
